RegenVorschau: Short-term Precipitation Forecast for Germany
RegenVorschau is a free Android application developed by CH-Software that provides short-term precipitation forecasts (rain or snow) for any location in Germany based on radar measurements. Upon launching the app, it automatically determines the user's current location and loads the corresponding forecast with the probability and intensity of rain for the next two hours. In addition, a radar map can be loaded, showing the current precipitation and its direction of movement, allowing for the prediction of precipitation development for more than two hours.
A new feature is the wind map, which displays wind flow at different altitudes (10 m, 1500 m, and 3000 m). This feature allows users to better assess the weather situation since precipitation clouds typically move at heights between 1500 and 3000 meters.
Users can purchase the premium status via in-app purchase to remove ads and use widgets, including rain alerts (1 month of premium status for 0.50 EUR, 1 year for 2.99 EUR, or permanently for 8.99 EUR).
